Located in the heart of downtown Memphis, Local Gastropub opened in the fall of 2009 on beloved Main Street in hopes to bring new inspirations of food and drink to the downtown community.
Jeff Johnson, owner and experienced bar and restaraunt entrepreneur, wanted more than just to feed people. He had a vision to create a food and beverage experience in the community inspired by the ambience of local downtown and the need for a true gastropub in Memphis. Thus, it was born.
There’s nothing better than people-watching on Main Street while dining on a delicious variety of foods from steaks to seafood with a nice brew or wine. Whether it’s trivia or sports, pint nigt, a relaxing happy hour at sunset, or a shower or rehearsal dinner locale, Local loves to entertain.

On a personal note, we hosted my sister Laura’s bridal shower here on Saturday, and it was absolutely amazing! Everything from the staff to the service to the food to the venue itself was incredible.
