ArtsMemphis is a locally-based organization that supports the art, music and theater community through engagement and participation. They raise funds to ensure excellence in the arts, and within the last 10 years have allocated over $40 million to support its mission. Not only does it enrich the lives of Memphis residents, but it also has an incredible economic impact on our city.
Nonprofit arts are a major draw for tourists. In Memphis alone, the arts generate more than $125 million a year. Visitors paying for art events, hotel stays, parking and exploring the area through shopping and dining. This organization is not only enhancing the culture in Memphis, but is also helping it prosper.
For those wanting to get involved, there are ample ways to do so. We are always blogging about upcoming events in Memphis that you can attend.
