Springtime Showroom

With the arrival of spring approaching, a fresh showroom layout at Mahaffey was crucial. Our wonderful and talented event specialists got to work last week and redesigned the whole area!

They incorporated popular spring colors and some of our newest inventory items. Not only do all the bright shades on display bring those of us in the office a little extra joy, but they help our clients who come visit brainstorm ideas for their big day, gala or whatever fabulous event they’re planning.

Did You Know Series: Fashion-Inspired Tabletops

When designer collections and party planning collide, the result is pure genius! At Mahaffey, we have to admit that we’ve fallen in love with the trend of fashion-inspired tabletops. With the announcement of Spring 2013 fashion colors, we can’t help but begin brainstorming all the ideas for next year’s table designs.

We took the colors from this fall/winter 2012-2013 Bottega Veneta runway look and created our own tablescape.

Bridal Rhapsody Extravaganza – Part 1

Calling all brides-to-be! Want to plan a great day with your bridesmaids, friends, or mother-of-the-bride? Look no further than the Bridal Rhapsody Extravaganza!

We at Mahaffey are SO excited to once again be a sponsor of Bridal Rhapsody, held at the Agricenter on Sunday, July 8 from 11:30am – 5:00pm.

What exactly is the Bridal Rhapsody Extravaganza, you ask? Well, brides and their guests have the opportunity to enjoy exciting, fast-moving fashion shows with great music and entertainment,which feature beautiful gowns from local bridal stores. There will also be several door prizes given throughout the day…and who doesn’t love a great prize! There will also be some fantastic vendors there (yours truly and some of our fabulous partners) to help you with all of your rental and wedding planning needs.

So whether you just got engaged last night (Congrats to you!) or last year, come and hang out with us. We would love to see you!

Did You Know Series: Linen Inventory

Did you know that Mahaffey has OVER 10 unique styles of table linens? Those include:

• Polyester
• Crinkle
• Pintuck
• Ribbon Taffeta
• Rosette
• Satin
• Sequin
• Organza
• Bengaline
• Serpentine
• Spandex

We also have around 97 different colors and patterns of linens.

June and October seem to be the two biggest months for linen rentals, due to peak wedding seasons. That, in turn, corresponds with the colors rented as well. Pastels and bright colors, like pink and yellow, tend to be rented more during spring and summer months, while shades of red and burnt oranges rent more during the fall and winter.

Speaking of linens, did you know that Mahaffey also recycles our linen hangers? As part of our ongoing effort to be “green,” we aim to save and collect every single hanger that goes out with our linen inventory. Our customers have been gracious enough to take part in this effort with us by returning them to our staff after each event.

Renting itself is and has been sustainable long before there was a green movement. This is just one more way we’re working to create a more sustainable business model.

Did You Know Series: Mahaffey Will Call Area

To better serve our customers, Mahaffey Tent and Party Rentals has opened a Will Call area!

Did you know that Mahaffey will load your vehicle for you?

Did you know that you can add to your order…right at the Will Call counter? Although it’s best to make a reservation to guarantee inventory, we do accept walk-ins.

Our customer service rep, Julie, will be there to greet you. Just like our standard office hours, Will Call will be open Monday-Friday from 8am to 5pm, and Saturday 9am to 1pm.
